The European Hotel Awards 2024 honored Dietmar Schickel with the title of Corporate Ambassador of the Year for his loyalty and passion for luxury hospitality. Known for his refined taste in gastronomy and wines, Schickel brings a unique appreciation to each stay in Europe’s most beautiful hotels.
The evening began with a refined cocktail, followed by the award ceremony and a sumptuous gala dinner orchestrated by Chef Henrik Fredskov. Laureates from all over Europe represented the diversity of European hospitality, from urban hotels to prestigious establishments belonging to groups like Hyatt, Hilton, IHG, and Radisson, as well as renowned collections such as Leading Hotels of the World and Quality Lodgings.
Among this year’s new distinctions are the titles of Next Generation Hotelier, Hotel Designer of the Year, Luxury Hospitality Public Relations of the Year, and an award for a corporate guest. Twenty-four laureates were honored, including a Silver Award Premium, with collective awards for hotels and individual distinctions for unique contributions to luxury hospitality.

The company offers its expertise in customer experience, operational efficiency, and project management, relying on Schickel’s vast knowledge of the industry.
Schickel, moved, added: “Receiving this award is an honor that reflects the meaningful connections and exceptional hospitality I have experienced throughout my travels.”
The gala dinner offered an exceptional culinary experience: Unima shrimp from Madagascar, Wagyu Miyabi with chimichurri, grilled Black Angus fillet at Josper, and a Suspiro caramel dessert. The meal was accompanied by fine wines, EPC champagne, Prosecco Bottega Gold, and culminated with Pineau des Charentes from Maison Guérin, Hiroshima sake, Giordano coffee, and Sambika chocolates.
The evening concluded with the memorable performance of Leroy Gomez from the group Santa Esmeralda, famous for the song “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” from the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Vol. 1, offering a closure rich in emotion and nostalgia.
