voco The Hague by IHG was crowned Business Hotel of the Year at the European Hotel Awards 2024. The event, held at the Radisson Collection Royal Copenhagen, brought together Europe’s hospitality elite to celebrate excellence in the sector. This prestigious distinction highlights voco The Hague’s exceptional commitment to providing top-notch business hospitality, positioning the hotel as a must-visit destination for business travelers in Europe.

The evening began with an exclusive cocktail reception, where guests enjoyed Bottega Gold Prosecco, represented by Sandro Bottega and Morley Timins, as well as Champagne Premium EPC, presented by Thibault Lopin and Marina Bublyk. A selection of premium products was offered by event partners, including Grandiose Gastronomie (represented by Mourad Ouali, Plaza del Sol (David Moreno) and their famous Bellota Ham, masterfully sliced by cortador Javier, as well as Caviar Amura from Monte Carlo, represented by Eugeniu Zgardan. Other partners also shone during the evening, such as Divine Healing Saffron (represented by Marghana Sayed Sharq from California), Unima Shrimps Label Rouge from Madagascar (represented by Stéphane Jackiw), Giordano Caffé (represented by Paola Giordano), and the famous Les Griottines©. Another key partner of the event was Miyabi, who presented its prestigious French Wagyu beef, represented by Sébastien Chérel and Masami Kanaoka, adding a luxurious culinary touch to the event. Let’s not forget ma Maison Guérin (Alain Guibert), WeWantSaké, Hiroshima Saké, Sambika Chocolate, or Lin des Pyrénées, who also participated in the event. Other service partners also participated in the event, such as Alotel, represented by Josef Saouma and Loic de La Forest Divonne.

The award was presented to Mareke Watson, General Manager of voco The Hague, accompanied by Anais Sheshekli, senior project manager and marketing expert.

During the cocktail reception and gala dinner, guests were charmed by the enchanting melodies of renowned Danish saxophonist Søren “Saxoman” Hindborg, creating an elegant and festive atmosphere. The evening was also enriched by sublime a cappella opera performances by Berit Meland Seagrief, adding a touch of sophistication.

The gala dinner, carefully crafted by Henrik Fredskov, Executive Chef of the Radisson Collection Royal Copenhagen, was served under the direction of Niklas Jonsson, General Manager of the hotel, with impeccable service led by Stefan Airinei, F&B Manager. The exquisite menu and flawless hospitality left a lasting impression on the VIP guests.

The evening reached its peak with an extraordinary performance by Leroy Gomez, the legendary singer of the group Santa Esmeralda. Known worldwide for his timeless hit “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”, immortalized in Kill Bill Vol. 1 by Quentin Tarantino during the famous scene where Uma Thurman wields her sword, Leroy Gomez’s performance, accompanied by DJ Grace for the musical ambiance, captivated the audience. Many guests took to the dance floor, transforming the celebration into a memorable and dynamic evening.
